Nakama Channel is a demarcated access lane with approved markers and buoys for safe navigation for entry and exit into the Nawi Marina channel. This will also see relocation of existing moorings within the waterway.
With reference to PIANC Report No .134 – 2013; “Design and Operational Superyacht facilities for 70m vessels and AS 3962 -2001” and “Guidelines for Design of Marinas” for 30m vessels, the Nakama Channel within which access into and out of Nawi Island, is 40m which allows for 85m vessels to enter the marina. The mainland arrival jetty has a 45m diameter turning circle. This allows for a safe navigational passage for all vessels.
